Food for Joint Pain


Today the common problem in adult and aged person (is a common occurrence as you get older) are different type of chronic joint pain according to the Arthritis, have osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or gout problem. It may caused by being overweight, accidents, injuries.
Osteoarthritis
It is the most common joint disorder, which will occur due to aging, wear and tear on a joint. It occurs when the body's natural joint protector, cartilage (A tough, elastic, fibrous connective tissue found in various parts of the body), gradually wears away include joint pain, tenderness, stiffness, causing bones to grate against each other.
Signs of Osteoarthritis
a)    Sometimes Joint movement will create cracking sound, called crepitating (A crackling sound made in breathing by a person with an inflamed lung)
b)    Swelling (bones around the joints become larger than normal)
c)    Limited range of motion for joints in hands, lags, shoulders and other parts of body
d)    Looks fragile when the joint is pressed
e)    Every movement of body will become very  painful
Gout problem
Gouty arthritis is one of the most painful rheumatic diseases. Gout is a kind of arthritis that occurs when uric acid builds up in blood. Your body makes too much uric acid and it will become impossible to rid of uric acid.  Not everyone with high uric acid levels in the blood has gout.
The buildup of uric acid that led to your gout and affects your joints. It can cause an attack of sudden burning pain, stiffness, and swelling in a joint, usually a big toe. It is most common in men
Signs of gout problem
a)    Painful condition that affects joint.
b)    nighttime attack of swelling, tenderness, redness, and sharp pain in your big toe, foot ankle, or knees
c)    Uric acid in blood and urine
d)    ESR reports will be abnormal
e)    Show uric acid crystals

Eating certain foods or avoiding certain foods may help to reduce these problems. If you find certain foods increase your rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and some help your symptoms to decrease than change your diet.

Eat for Joint pain

a)    The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish (marlin, bluefish, snapper, salmon, tuna, herring, cod, swordfish, mackerel, and sardines) are natural anti-inflammatory.
b)    Valuable complex carbohydrates include whole grains such as oats, bulgur, whole-grain brown rice, stone-ground whole wheat, rye and barley, as well as starchy
c)    Include blueberries, oranges, grapefruit, red grapes, kiwi, tomatoes, spinach, kale, mustard greens, broccoli, yams, and strawberries, raspberries, cherries and Brussels sprouts. Orange juice and berries is a top-notch source of vitamin C,
d)    Vegetables are source of vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber and antioxidants, such as yams, potatoes and squash. Legumes, such as beans and lentils, are a useful dietary option as well, source of complex carbohydrates and protein).
e)    Onions are a rich source of quercetin, a flavonoid with strong anti-inflammatory properties, resulted in significant decreases in arthritis symptoms.
f)    Apples, red grapes, and tea are also good sources of quercetin.
g)    Turmeric, a spice and ginger used in curry and other Indian dishes are powerful anti-inflammatory.
h)    Choose Iron-rich Food

Don’t eat for Joint pain

a)    foods that cause weight gain, such as high fat and high sugar
b)    don’t drink too much alcohol, Coffee ,Sodas, soft drinks and cold drinks
c)    don’t eat too much meat, red meats and fish
d)    Avoid dairy products, refined sugar, chemical sweeteners, table salt, caffeine
e)    cauliflower, which contains a lot of purines (crystalline organic base)
f)    Honey and white refined sugar, corn syrup and desserts
g)    Other foods high in purines to avoid include oatmeal, wheat bran, beer, mushrooms, green peas, green beans, spinach, asparagus, red meats, Corn, creamed vegetables, white potatoes
h)    Capsicum (peppers), potatoes and chili are all inflammatory foods that contribute to joint pain.
i)     Soy beans
j)     beef, eggs, sausages, barbeque, ketchup , pork and Chocolate
k)    all preservatives
