Smart Women Never Find Themselves in a Vacuum

Sitting in your office day after day wondering what people might want to buy from you can be frustrating and a waste of valuable time.
I’m going to share 4 no-cost to low-cost strategies that will save you time and money and get you the answers you need to attract more clients and make more money. It’s time to get out of the vacuum!
1. Connect in-person or by phone – When I began my work with women years ago, I set a goal to talk with as many women as possible about what they were looking for in a group program centered around women in transition. I invited women for coffee, lunch and walks along the beach. I picked up the phone and called women outside of Los Angeles who I considered trusted resources. This strategy costs you nothing but your time and can glean some gold-nuggets for your business.
2. Connect via email – If you have less than 100 people on your contact list you can easily compose a group email. Decide on 3-5 questions you would like to have answered to help you with your next product or service and give a deadline to reply to your email.
3. Connect using online surveys – As your business grows, your list of contacts will grow as well. When you have more than 100 people on your email list, you’ll want to use an online survey tool to make it easy and look professional. There are many low-cost to no-cost online survey products on the market today. The online survey tool we currently use is SurveyMonkey.com. The key to a successful survey is to let your reader know how many questions are in the survey, how long it will take to complete, and offering a free report, audio or other high content complimentary gift helps to generate interest in completing the survey.
4. Connect on Social Media – If you are active on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, this can be a great place to ask a few questions about new products, services or gather opinions about a particular challenge people are having.
Smart women never operate in a vacuum. Go to the source (your ideal client) and find out what’s on their mind. It’s the easiest and simplest way to start and grow a successful business offering exactly what your client needs and wants.
