Right to Information Act


 Right to Information Act
The Right to Information Act 2005 act of the Parliament of the India. It is giving right to know the information of any government function of India for every Citizen.  It has below Right for Citizen.
·         Every citizen has a right to know how the Government is functioning.
·         Right to Information empowers every citizen to seek any information from the Government, inspect any Government documents, works, Records
·          Right to seek certified photocopies, notes of record and information.
·         Some laws on Right to Information also empower citizens to official inspect any Government work or to take sample of material (In floppies, disk or Videos) used in any work.
Who can ask for Information?
·         Any citizen of India except State of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir has its own Act.
·         Overseas Citizen of India and Person of Indian Origin. They can apply at Indian Embassy or consulate.
·         Need to pay amount of application in Local Currency
